ICG Commerce To Present At Leading Sourcing and Outsourcing Conference
Industry Experts to Share Best Practices for Gaining High Impact Savings Through Procurement Initiatives
PHILADELPHIA - Tuesday, October 18, 2005 - Leading procurement services provider ICG Commerce today announced
two executives will be speaking at the Sourcing Interest Group's Sourcing Leadership 2005 conference taking place
this week in Rancho Mirage, California.
The semi-annual event will feature the most current topics in the world of sourcing and outsourcing, including
procurement BPO, strategic sourcing and supply management. Through more than a decade of working with hundreds
of leading companies on procurement initiatives, ICG Commerce understands today's executives are expecting more
savings than ever – savings they can measure in terms of earnings – that increase year after year. Drawing from deep
domain expertise, ICG Commerce executives will share experience and best practices around strategic sourcing and
procurement outsourcing, high-impact initiatives that can enhance a company's performance and significantly improve
its bottom line.
Jeff Gallant, vice president of business development, will present "Beyond Sourcing: How to Drive Additional Total
Cost Savings Year After Year" on October 19 from 3:30-4:20 p.m. His presentation will explore how companies can
identify opportunities to improve value in supplier agreements and continue to reduce costs on an ongoing basis.
Jason Gilroy, vice president of outsourcing for ICG Commerce, will participate in a procurement outsourcing
roundtable at the conference on October 20 at 1:30 p.m. The panel also will feature an executive from a leading
telecommunications services company currently engaged with ICG Commerce in a procurement outsourcing initiative.
Panelists will discuss best practices, the pros and cons of procurement outsourcing, and future innovations in the space.
"The Sourcing Leadership conference provides an excellent forum for executives to identify and discuss new
innovations and practical approaches for reducing company costs, and ICG Commerce is pleased to be among the
group of experts participating in this year's event," said Gilroy. "From proven strategies in procurement outsourcing to
case study examples, Jeff and I look forward to sharing experience-based insights with attendees."
